Biography

I was born in Ireland on 1 June 1969 and grew up in Galway City on the west coast. I studied mathematical science at University College Galway before coming to Brown in the Fall 1991.

Research

My interests include statistics and stochastic processes. I am working towards the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics under Professor Walter Freiberger. My thesis will investigate residential and facility level variations in transitions in functional status among nursing home patients.
