Background

I entered Brown in the Fall of 1991 to study Computational Fluid Dynamics, and I began working with Prof. Paul Fischer shortly thereafter. We use non-conforming spectral elements, in parallel, to solve the Navier-Stokes equations and model fluid flow. In May, 1993, I received my Sc.M. in Applied Mathematics.

Before entering Brown, I worked for the DuPont Co. (officially E. I. DuPont de Nemours & Co, Inc.). My assignments in the Information Systems Department included: Data Center Supervisor, DEC VAX system support, ADABAS database administrator, and workstation support.

This all started when I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1985, with a B.S. in Computer Science.
