Homework:
Homework will be assigned on Tuesday and collected on the Thursday of the following week.
Homework will be graded and will count as 30% of the semester grade.
Late homeworks will only be accepted
if an adequate reason is given the day before homework is due.
Because the homework is an essential part of the course,
completion of at least 80% of the assigned homework is required to receive a passing grade in the course.
Solutions will be posted in the Sciences Library and online.

Exams: There will be a midterm and a final exam.
Both will be closed book.
The midterm will be during class hours.
The final exam will not be cumulative.
The midterm will count as 30% and the final as 40% of the semester grade.
The tentative date for the midterm is the 21st of October.

Reading: The reading assignments are not optional. Please make every effort to read the relevant sections before we cover the material in class.
