Academic Background
I graduated from Moscow State University in 1991 with M.S. degree
in computational mathematics. Thesis:"Unconditionally Stable Alternating
Direction method for solving parabolic equations in complex domain." After
that I spent two years in Nuclear Safety Institute of Russian Academy of
Science, working on efficient compact numerical schemes for parabolic and
elliptic equations. After studying for a year at Emory University in Atlanta,
GA, I started my graduate studies in the Division of Applied Mathematics
at Brown University , working with Professor
George Karniadakis. Right now I am completing my PhD thesis entitled
"Spectral/hp Methods for Viscous Compressible Flows on unstructured grids."
Research Interests:
-
Discontinuous Galerkin spectral/hp methods
-
Theory and Applications of Spectral Methods
-
Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian formulation
-
Adaptive h-p mesh refinement
-
Flow-Structure interactions in compressible flow
