  Title:	Some Ideas on Action Potentials
  Time/Place:	2:00 p.m., Barus and Holley, Room 190

  Abstract:   It is proposed that the action potentials propagate as ion-acoustic waves in the axons rather than by the diffusion process according to the telegraph equation. A non-linear oscillator model is also proposed to account for the spike threshold and the signal coding of the action potentials.
